Ford F-Series Details Released

If you are in the market for the "most capable, fuel efficient" heavy duty truck that is currently available, you may want to stop by your local Ford dealership this April to take a look at the new, 2011, Ford Super Duty truck line.

Powered by a Ford designed, engineered, and built 6.7L Power Stroke® V8 turbocharged engine, it provides an amazing 735 ft-lb of torque at just 1,600 rpms and 390 horsepower at 2,800 rpms to give it the best-in-class fuel economy. It also has a biodiesel capability up to B20.

The new engine transfers the power to the wheels through a six-speed TorqShift® automatic transmission. This helps the Super Duty achieve a class leading towing capacity of 24,000 pounds and a payload capacity of 6,520 pounds.

The Ford F-Series has been the best-selling truck line for the last 33 years, relying on leading horsepower, torque, towing and payload capacity, fuel economy and reliability.

Also offered in the 2011 Super Duty is the Ford Work SolutionsTM; a new technology that allows customers stay connected with their business and have the ability to track tools.

Chris Brewer, chief designer said, "With all-new powertrains and increased capability, the 2011 Super Duty improves on its proud heritage as the ultimate work truck."
